Centerpieces act as a focal point for your eyes, a glimpse of the Quince Girls’ personality, and a reflection of the night to come. If you are feeling the pressure to get everything perfect, don’t worry. It’s natural.
Here are a few of our favorite Quinceanera Centerpieces to get those creative juices flowing.
An Interesting Twist on a Classic
You think centerpieces and you think flowers. For years, flowers have been the go to center piece. They add elegance, color and smell great. We think it is time for a fresh twist on a proven classic.
Mixed Vases
Don’t just put flowers in a vase and call it over—add a little extra. For a sophisticated look add tall, spiral twigs you can find at a dollar store. The contrast between the bright flowers and the earthly twigs make this arrangement the perfect center point. Want a bit more color? Add in some feathers. Better yet? Make it a peacock theme with feathers, blue and purple flowers and dark accents (seen here).
Aquatic Flowers
Floating flowers are an aquatic twist on the classic budding flowers. Choose the Quince Girl’s favorite flower or a flower in her favorite color. Remove the blooms from the stem and place in a clear bowl. For an added pop of color, sink colored rocks to the bottom of the glass or use different colored flowers. Looking for a wow factor? Add some floating candles.
For a fanciful look, sink the flowers. This looks best with tall, clear vases. For more light, place a candle on the top.
Do-It-Yourself Centerpieces
Looking to save a few pennies? Maybe you can even clear out some items from the cabinets in the process.
Mason Jars
If you are searching for the latest trend in DIY, look no further. With mason jars its all about how you paint them or what you fill them with. They are the vessel for your creativity.
Painted Jars – Add some color and class by painting your jars. You can go bright. You can go bold. You can go pastel. Whatever colors fit your theme the best. Your party at night? Try this neat glow-in-the-dark trick.
Filling the Jars – While flowers are always a great option, why not try something else that is natural and colorful: fruit. Slice up some lemons, limes or oranges for a fresh twist that will leave the room smelling great. Stuck on flowers? Keep the flowers simple, but dye the water for an unexpected display.
Not sold on the mason jar trend, give tin cans a try.
Candlesticks
Candlesticks are a great way to leave space on the table while bringing the eyes up. They aren’t hard on the wallet either. Visit your local craft store to pick up candlesticks of differing heights and widths. Next stop is the paint aisle to add a personal flare. No color or grouping is too bold.
Look Up for Inspiration
Low on table space? Worried about things getting knocked over? Want to try something new? Try hanging your decorations for a dramatic look. Add an elegant flair with gauzy drapes that accent your themes colors. Or hang flowers or lights for an intimate affair. Added bonus: it hides any popcorn ceiling or ceiling tiles your venue might have.
Add the ‘WOW’ Factor
Looking to make a dramatic statement that will leave everyone in awe? Try one of these bold, statement-making centerpieces.
Aquatic Tanks
Add a sense of wonder with this under-the-sea inspired idea. Add some moss, stones and maybe some colorful fish to shock your guests. Bonus points: you now have party favors in the form of fish complete with their own fish tanks.
Show-Stopping Cascades
Awe your guests as soon as they enter with this room centerpiece. Large cascades make for a great center point for your Quinceanera as well as dramatic backdrops for unforgettable photos.
Trees
Bring the outside in for an interesting contrast with a tree-inspired centerpiece. You can keep it earthly by adding Spanish Moss to the base. Add a few butterflies for a whimsical feel. Or up-the ante with an elegant crystal tree.
